If you're like most people, it's all too easy to get caught up in the daily grind and let your self-care routine take a back seat. Do Mondays give you a case of existential dread? You may even think that a day reserved just for you is an overly indulgent luxury. But, nothing could be further from the truth.
Be kind to yourself, dear—to our innocent follies. Forget any sounds or touch you knew that did not help you dance. You will come to see that all evolves us.

Self-care is one of the most important things we can do for ourselves. It's about showing ourselves love, kindness, and compassion in a world that can often be overwhelming and stressful.
Taking care of ourselves isn't a selfish act! Taking the time to prioritize your own well-being will help you find the inspiration and energy to be the best version of yourself possible. In turn, that will allow you to better care of others. So, take the time to prioritize your well-being, indulge in activities that bring you joy, and don't forget to give yourself the care and attention that you deserve. You're worth it!

Physical Self Care Ideas
- Sleep In: Fancy sleeping in for once? Go for it! getting enough sleep is essential for your overall health and well-being. Sleeping in on occasion can be a beneficial way to catch up on lost sleep and reap the physical and mental benefits that come with it.
- Watch The Sunrise: Not really into lazy Sunday mornings? Set your alarm to watch the sunrise. Use this sunrise/sunset calculator to figure our what time the sun rises in your time zone. You could even find your favorite nature spot and take a leisurly hike.
- Take A Bath: Take a bubble bath with your favorite essential oils and a few candles. Try these herbal bath tea recipes for a healing spiritual bath.
- Try A New Recipe: Make it something you know will nourish you. How about starting the day off with a smoothie. Go to your local farmer's market and grab some fresh veg for a healthy stir fry dinner.
- Meal Prep: Prepare healthy meals for the week ahead.
- Make A Face Mask: I don't know why, but face masks always make you feel like you're just plain taking care of yourself. Here's an easy at home face mask to try:
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 tablespoon of agave nectar
- 1 tablespoon of oatmeal
- Exercise: Like it slow and mindful? Take a yoga class. Prefer to really get that adrenaline pumping? Go for a spin class.
- Drink Your Tea: Making your own tea can be an act of self care. Here's a tea recipe that's easy to make at home, plus it's got incredible immune boosting properties:

- Meditate: You don't need to be a seasoned meditator to reap the benefits of meditation. All you need is 10 minutes to balance and center yourself. Meditation is absolutely amazing for your mental health. If you're a beginner, try this 10 minute meditation for beginners.
- Listen To An Inspiring Podcast: I can highly recommend Tiny Leaps, Big Changes if you're looking to move the needle on your goals. To Be Magnetic is one of my favorite podcasts on doing your shadow work so you can manifest your dreams.
- Read Your Aura: Check out this fun and engaging app that allows you to read your aura: Aurul.
- Create A Vision Board: Pull out some magazines, and cut out pictures that you like. Think about what you'd like to manifest into your life, and cut out pictures that feel good to you. Paste them onto a board and put it somewhere where you can see it. Use it to inspire you!
- Cut The Cords: Perform a cord cutting ritual to to release any emotional or energetic attachments that are no longer serving you. These attachments can be to people, situations, beliefs, or even past versions of yourself. By cutting these cords, you create space for new energy and experiences to come into your life.
- Cleanse Your Crystals: If you like to work with the energy of crystals, you could perform a crystal cleansing ritual. After your crystals are cleansed, charge them with your intentions.
- Use Affirmation Cards: Get out your favorite affirmation or oracle cards and pick a few that have themes that resonate with you. Try this amazing set of affirmation cards.
- Take An Energy Cleansing Shower: Scrub off with salt as you visualize the water washing away any negative energy and emotions, leaving you feeling purified and renewed.

- Have A Reiki Session: Realign your chakras with a Reiki session. You can even get long distance reiki if there's not a reiki practioner in your area.

- Go On A Date With Yourself: Choose a new restaurant, take a good book and enjoy a fantastic meal.
- Do A Social Media Detox: Taking a break from social media on your Self Care Sunday can help reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep quality, and allow for more meaningful self-reflection and self-care practices.
- Write A Letter To Yourself: This is a favorite activity of mine. I always feel so much more grounded after spending time writing for my eyes only. If you want to send your letter to your future self, Future Me allows you to do just that. Write your letter, give it your email address and tell it when you want to receive your letter. You'll be pleasantly surprised when you read it in a year!
- Listen to Music: Listening to music is a great way to raise your vibration. I highly recommend spending time with the solfeggio frequencines.
- Have Lunch With Someone Who Inspires You: Pick a positive friend and enjoy a healthy meal swapping your favorite ideas for boosting your mood.
- Affirm Yourself: I'm a huge believer in using affirmations to build self love. Choose 5-10 affirmations and repeat them silently to yourself as you go about your day.
- Get grateful: You're too blessed to be stressed! I know sometimes it's hard to remember, but if you're here reading this now, you're blessed. Get or make your own gratitude journal to record all the things you're grateful for. I guarantee you, that making a gratitude list will fill you with positivity.

- Declutter: Don't set yourself a huge task like decluttering your whole house. Find a drawer or a wardrobe that could use a good clean out and start there. You'd be surprised how much mental space you can free up by simply clearing out a drawer.
