The Abraham Hicks emotional guidance scale, sometimes referred to as the emotional vibration scale, is a scale of the 22 most common emotions. The emotion with the highest vibration (joy) is assigned the number one, and the emotion with the lowest vibration (despair) is assigned the number 22.

What Is The Emotional Guidance Scale?
According to Abraham-Hicks, emotions are your internal guidance system. Think of them as your built in GPS or compass, pointing you in the direction of what you'll manifest.
But, why is it so important to understand your emotions? Because the law of attraction maintains that like attracts like. The emotional energy that you put out will be mirrored back to you in the form of external circumstances in your life.
Each emotion vibrates at a certain frequency. Your vibration acts like a radio signal, attracting situations, people and things that match its frequency. Essentially, if you want to attract positive things, you must be in alignment with a positive frequency.
The emotional scale is a ladder of the most commonly felt emotions. The emotions at the top of the ladder are those with the highest vibrational frequency; these are the emotions that are conducive to attracting positive outcomes and manifesting your desires.
Conversely, the emotions at the bottom of the ladder are those which are least conducive to manifesting positive outcomes; in fact, the emotions with the lowest vibrational frequency attract more negativity.
Before we cover how to use the emotional guidance system to raise your vibration, and attract the things that you want into your life, let's get to know the vibrational scale.
Here are the Abraham Hicks emotions, rated from highest to lowest vibration.

How To Use The Emotional Scale To Raise Your Vibration
The emotional guidance scale can be used in the following ways:
- To assess your default emotional state and vibrational frequency. Once you've identified your emotional set point, you can begin working on moving up the ladder step by step.
- To identify your current emotional state, and "catch negative emotions" before they spiral downward. Once you've identified where you are on the emotional guidance scale, you can reach for a feeling that is one step up from where you currently are. For instance, if you identify that you are worried (number 14), you can reach for the feeling of doubt (number 13). Doubt has a higher vibration than worry, so moving up the ladder one step will raise your vibration.
In order to move up the emotional guidance scale, you must first identify and acknowledge (without judgment) where you are on the scale. Once you have identified the number you are currently at, identify the emotion above the one you are currently experiencing.
Ask yourself what you can do to move up one step on the ladder. Small steps are powerful! It's impossible to move from despair to joy in one leap. But, it's not impossible to do it with baby steps up the ladder.
Here's a few techniques you can use to slowly move up the vibrational scale.
- Practice Gratitude: In Ask And It Is Given Hick's outlines a technique called the rampage of appreciation in which you take notice of all the things around you that you appreciate. The act of consciously acknowledging your appreciation for the things around you can have a powerful effect on your vibration. You can listen to Abraham-Hicks rampage of appreciation for more information on this technique. - Do Something That Makes You Feel Good: Like reading? Grab your favorite book. Like music? Put on your favorite album. Spend time in nature or sit with your pet. Whatever makes you feel good!
- Meditate: Meditation soothes your energy, and is a great way to nudge yourself up the scale.
Abraham-Hicks Quotes
I've chosen the following Abraham-Hicks quotes to motivate and inspire you, and to hopefully nudge you up the emotional guidance scale:
- "You get to choose what you focus upon, and you get to choose what manifests, and you get to choose how you feel about it when it does."
- "When you want it and believe it, it is."
- "Contrast causes expansion."
- "You can alter the future by altering your thought."
- "It isn't what you do. It's how you feel when you do it."
- "Every time you reach for a thought that feels better you are, in that moment, achieving your purpose."
- "Every negative emotion, no matter how strong or mild it is, means you are pointing in the opposite direction of what you want."
- "A belief is only a thought you keep thinking."
- "You are here to create the world around you that you choose, while you allow the world to exist as others want it to be also."
- "You might say that different emotions have different vibrational frequencies, but a more accurate way of saying it would be: Your emotions are indicators of your vibrational frequency."

Hi,
Thanks for posting the emotional scale created in this way! I LOVE how the visual arrows really drive home the point that feeling good is headed towards wanted and feeling bad is moving away from wanted. Plus, the simple instructions are nice reminders. It's always about reviewing and living the fundamentals. Thanks!
