Is there anything better than fresh fruit juice? I'm always experimenting with different combinations, like this yuzu juice or this fresh mango juice. But, today I'm excited to introduce you to peach juice.
Ok, so if you make this juice in a blender it's more like peach nectar, but that's a good thing! It's thicker and creamier than juice made with a traditional juicer, somewhere between a juice and smoothie. Taste it and you'll see why you don't need fancy equipment to make the perfect peach juice. Of course, if you have a juicer, feel free to use it. I've given you instructions for that too. It will be thinner and less creamy, but it will still have the gloriously refreshing peach flavor that peach juice is all about.

How To Peel Peaches
Peeling peaches can be a messy job, and sometimes you end up loosing a lot of the peach flesh. The solution is to blanch your peaches. The skin slides right off.
- Find a bowl big enough to accommodate your peaches and enough water to cover them. Fill it with water and some ice and set aside.
- Bring a large pot of water to a hard boil. Reduce the heat to a simmer, and using a slotted spoon, lower your peaches into the water. Leave them there for approximately 30 seconds.
- Using the same slotted spoon, remove your peaches from the hot water, and transfer them to the bowl of ice water. This stops the peaches from cooking.
- The peel should now be soft enough to remove easily with your hands or a paring knife.
Ingredients
- Peaches: Choose peaches that are ripe. Ripe peaches are not firm to the touch. There's a bit of give when you squeeze them gently. They should have a slight peach scent and be free from bruises.
- Water: I recommend filtered water, but tap water will also work. If you want a bubbly peach juice you could even use sparkling water.
- Lemon Juice: Use fresh lemon juice. Bottled lemon juice just doesn't have the same fresh citrus flavor. Don't skip the lemon juice. It's what will keep your peaches from oxidizing and turning an unappetizing brown color.
- Agave Nectar or Powdered Cane Sugar (optional) : Agave nectar is an entirely optional ingredient. If your peaches are really ripe, you might not need to add a sweetener. If you don't have agave nectar, powdered cane sugar also does the trick. Again, the sweetener is optional.
How To Make Fresh Peach Juice
In A Blender
This is the blender method for making peach juice. You can use a standard blender, bullet blender or immersion blender. Your peach juice will be thicker than if you used a juicer (which I really like)!
- Peel pit and stone your peaches. * see instructions above on how to easily peel peaches.
- Add your peaches to the blender along with the water, lemon juice and agave nectar. Blend until there are no lumps remaining. Depending on the strength of your blender, you may need to pour the juice through a mesh strainer to remove any extra bits. Personally, I love this juice when it's a bit thicker and creamy, but if you want a really smooth consistency, all you need to do is pass the juice through a mesh strainer.
- Stir before decanting into cold glasses. Enjoy!
In A Juicer
There's no need to peel peaches that you'll be juicing with a juicer, but you must carefully scrub the skin to remove any pesticides.
- Fill a bowl with water. Submerge your peaches in the water, gently scrubbing their skins to remove any dirt or pesticides.
- Cut the peaches open and remove the pits. Add them to the juicer, catching the extracted liquid in a pitcher.
- Stir in the lemon juice and agave nectar (or powdered cane sugar) and serve.
