    Yuzu juice has tremendous health benefits! And, if you haven't tried it, you'll adore the heavenly, almost orange-blossom-like scent of this rising star of the food world.

    This immune boosting juice uses a combination of pineapple, tangerines, lime, and apple with a touch of yuzu juice to spectacular effect. You'll enjoy it as a refreshing, healthy addition to your breakfast menu.

    Yuzu juice is certainly taking the food world by storm! You'll find its juice, peel and seeds used in:

    • Cocktails (it's particularly fond of gin.)
    • Salad Dressings
    • Sauces
    • Marmalades

    What Is Yuzu Juice?

    Yuzu is a hybrid citrus fruit also known as yuga that's about the size of a tangerine. It has a thick, aromatic skin that's bright yellow when ripe.

    It's mainly cultivated in Japan, Korea and China. However, in recent years it's grown so much in popularity, that it's now being cultivated in the USA.

    If you don't have access to the fruit, you can easily find yuzu juice bottled online and in some grocery stores.

    The health benefits of yuzu juice are really impressive!

    • It contains antioxidants that are know to reduce inflammation.
    • It promotes heart health.
    • It's low in calories, containing only 53 calories per 100 grams.
    • It's extremely high in vitamin C, which is know to boost immune function.
    • It improves blood flow.
    • It's rich in important minerals like sodium, manganese, and magnesium.

    • Pineapple: Fruity, sweet pineapple juice adds a tropical flavor.
    • Grapefruit: Sweet, yet bitter, grapefruit balances out the sweetness of pineapple.
    • Tangerines: Sweet, strongly flavored tangerines are the perfect foil to grapefruit and lime.
    • Apple: Though apples are the only fruit in this juice that aren't in the citrus family, I think they add a welcome, refreshing note.

    If you haven't tried yuzu juice, you're in for a real treat! This refreshing combination of pineapple, tangerine, grapefruit, apple, lime and yuzu juice is sure to become your new favorite juice recipe. High in nutrients with a serious flavor punch, it's best served straight from your juicer.

    Ingredients
      

    • ยฝ pineapple top and tailed, skin removed. * see note 1
    • 1 grapefruit peeled, pith removed
    • 2 tangerines peeled
    • 1 large apple
    • ยฝ lime juiced
    • 1 tablespoon yuzu juice

    Instructions
     

    • Add the fruits to a juicer and juice according to manufacturer's instructions.
    • Squeeze in the lime juice, and stir in the yuzu juice.
