How to Read The Spread

Card 1

Begin by laying down card 1 to the left of center. This Foundation card reveals what energies and lessons you're carrying forward from the past year.

Think of it like the soil in your garden: some experiences have enriched you, others may need clearing. This position shows which past patterns are still influencing your path, whether they're serving your growth or holding you back. A positive card here suggests building on existing strengths, while a challenging card might indicate old habits or beliefs that will need to be released.

Card 2

Place card 2 in the center. This Core Theme anchors your reading, showing the primary energy shaping your year ahead.

Like the central pillar of a house, it supports and connects all other aspects. This card shows the primary lesson or experience you'll encounter repeatedly - whether through relationships, career, personal growth, or spiritual development. Think of it as the lens through which you'll view and process everything else that unfolds.

Card 3

Position card 3 above the center. The Higher Purpose card illuminates spiritual lessons and soul growth awaiting you.

This card shows what your soul is ready to learn and how you can elevate beyond mundane concerns. This card often points to deeper meaning behind challenges, karmic lessons coming full circle, or opportunities for profound personal transformation. It's the wisdom gained by looking at your year from a higher perspective.

Card 4

Set card 4 to the right of center. This Key Opportunity card reveals where the universe is opening doors for you.

The Key Opportunity card shows you where to direct your energy for maximum growth. Like a door swinging open at just the right moment, it shows where you'll find the most potential for positive change. This position will show you where your best chances for advancement are, whether in career, relationships, or your personal development. Pay special attention to this card's timing and symbols - they often provide clues about when and how to seize these opportunities.

Card 5

Place card 5 right below the center card. This Hidden Challenge card warns of unseen obstacles or growth opportunities disguised as difficulties.

The Hidden Challenge card reveals obstacles that might not be immediately apparent to you. Positioned below the Core Theme, it shows what might catch you off guard or test your growth. These challenges often masquerade as minor issues before revealing their true significance. Understanding this position helps you prepare and gather resources before you actually need them.

Card 6 & Card 7

Finally, place cards 6 and 7 at the bottom of the spread as shown in the diagram. These cards work together - Release (6) shows what you must let go of, while Embrace (7) reveals what new energy can fill that space.

The Release card (6) reveals what's completed its cycle in your life - old patterns, relationships, or beliefs that no longer serve you. The Embrace card (7) shows what new energy or opportunity can fill that space once you've let go. Together, they represent the natural cycle of endings and beginnings that will move you forward.

This pair often reveals how making space by releasing something specific (Card 6) directly enables you to welcome something better (Card 7). They're intrinsically linked - you can't fully embrace the new until you've released the old.
