Two glasses of Peanut Paradise Tropical Smoothie

Peanut Butter Tropical Smoothie

Keri Bevan
This peanut paradise tropical smoothie is a copycat recipe from the popular chain, Tropical Smoothie Cafe. It's rich and creamy and just a touch decadent without sacrificing its nutritional profile. Enjoy making this smoothie at home with my step by step instructions.

Ingredients

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 3 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup almond milk or any non-dairy milk of your choice
  • ½ cup vegan yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup optional for added sweetness
  • 1 scoop of vegan protein powder flavor of your choice (this is optional)

Instructions

  • In a blender, combine the frozen bananas, creamy peanut butter, almond milk, vegan yogurt, vanilla and optional vegan protein powder.
  • If desired, add the maple syrup for additional sweetness.
  • Blend all the ingredients together until smooth and creamy. If the consistency is too thick, you can add more almond milk to achieve your desired thickness.
  • Once blended to your liking, pour the Peanut Paradise Smoothie into a glass.
  • If desired, garnish with a sprinkle of crushed peanuts or a drizzle of peanut butter.

❄️Make Ahead Instructions

Save time in the morning by having your smoothie prepped and ready to enjoy. Experiment with these approaches to find the one that suits your schedule:
  1. Refrigerate Overnight: Prepare the smoothie as instructed and transfer it to an airtight container or a sealable mason jar. Place it in the refrigerator overnight. The smoothie should stay fresh and retain its flavors until the morning. Give it a good shake or stir before drinking.
  2. Freeze in Individual Portions: If you want to make the smoothie well in advance, consider freezing it in individual portions. Pour the prepared smoothie into ice cube trays or freezer-safe containers. When you're ready to enjoy it, simply thaw the frozen portion in the refrigerator overnight. Blend it or give it a good shake in the morning to bring it back to a smooth consistency.
  3. Prepped Ingredients: Another option is to pre-measure and prepare the ingredients the night before. Peel and slice the bananas, measure the peanut butter, and gather all the other ingredients. Store them separately in the refrigerator to keep them fresh. In the morning, simply blend the ingredients together to make the smoothie quickly.
