These air fryer bananas are rich and gooey and full of caramel flavor. It only takes 10 minutes to make them, and they make the perfect topping for ice cream, toast and porridge.
Line the air fryer with parchment paper that has holes punched in it. Preheat to 365° F (185° C ).
Peel the bananas and slice them on the diagonal into ⅛ inch slices. Mix the coconut sugar and cinnamon together in a small bowl.
Transfer the bananas to a plate and brush with coconut oil. Sprinkle with coconut sugar and cinnamon mixture.
Spread the banana slice out evenly in the basket of the air fryer. Cook for 5-7 minutes. *see note 1
Notes
1.Some air fryers take longer to cook than others. Your bananas should be caramelized and bubbling on top.
❄️Storage Instructions
Refrigerator
Let the cooked air fryer bananas cool completely after cooking. Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days maximum. The bananas may lose their crispness but will still taste good.
Freezer
Place cooled bananas in a freezer bag or airtight container, making sure to remove any excess air. Seal and freeze for up to 2 months. When you're ready to eat them, remove the desired portion from your freezer and microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute until warmed through and slightly softened. You can also let the frozen bananas sit at room temperature for 10 minutes to thaw slightly before serving.
