Ingredients

  • ½ cup popcorn kernels
  • 3 tablespoons butter melted
  • 2 teaspoons dried dill
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • 2 tablespoons pickle juice adjust to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh dill for garnish, optional

Instructions

  • Pop the popcorn kernels using your preferred method (microwave, stovetop, or popcorn machine). Make sure they're fully popped and set them aside in a large mixing bowl.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, dried dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pickle juice, and black pepper. Start with 1 tablespoon of pickle juice and adjust to your preferred level of tanginess.
  • Pour the seasoned butter mixture over the popped popcorn. Use a spatula or your hands to gently toss the popcorn, ensuring that each kernel gets coated with the seasoning.
  • If you're using fresh dill for garnish, sprinkle it over the popcorn and toss again to distribute the dill evenly.
  • Allow the popcorn to sit for a few minutes to let the flavors meld together. Serve in individual bowls or a large serving dish.

Notes

❄️Storage Instructions

This popcorn is best enjoyed fresh and warm on the same day it's made. However, you can store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. The texture may soften slightly upon storage, but it will still taste delicious.
For longer storage, you can place the popcorn in a freezer bag or airtight container and freeze for up to 2 months. When ready to eat, remove the desired amount and reheat in the microwave or oven until hot and crispy again. Add an extra sprinkle of dried dill or pickle juice if needed to restore the flavors.
Pro tip: Letting the popcorn come to room temperature before eating will help prevent condensation from making it soggy after microwaving straight from the freezer.
